YESNO

After School Club

Welcome to all parents, guardians and carers to After School Club where we aim to provide safe and stimulating play provision in a relaxed friendly environment.

We encourage:

Social interaction

Physical activity

Creative achievement

Intellectual stimulation

Emotional stability

We value our relationship with parents and are committed to working in partnership with you to provide high quality childcare for your child. We aim to be consistent and reliable to enable you to plan for your child’s after school care with confidence and peace of mind. Our ethos is to be a caring, sharing club where all children feel equally valued. We are a fully inclusive club open to all children who attend St Edward’s C of E Primary School. We operate after school, during term time from the end of your child’s school day until 5:45. Should your child have any additional or special needs please speak to the Club Manager and record your child’s needs on the registration form to ensure your child can be appropriately supported in the club.

We do have limited places and operate a booking system whereby we ask you to request a place for your child, this can be done as a regular place (same every week) or on specific dates to suit your needs. Regular places need to be re-requested at the beginning of every half term.  We are very proud to say that we have always accommodated all families needing a place since the introduction of a booking system and limited places due to Covid restrictions.

(Please note that if you book your child a place and they do not attend there will be a charge of £7.00 as that place will have been wasted for that day, unless of course your child is off school due to ill health.)

Bookings, requests and cancellations can only be made using the following email asc@stedwardsce.rochdale.sch.uk

We will confirm your child’s place as soon as possible. Cancellation on the day will be subject to a £7.00 charge.

During After School Club hours we can be contacted on the After School Club Mobile:  07871287500

 Fees for After School Club

Child collected before 4:30pm: 1st child   £4.50     Siblings £3.75

Child collected after    4:30pm:  1st child   £7.00     Siblings £6.00

All children must be collected by 5:45pm

We have a completely cashless payment system and we ask that you pay online via School money. Please ask for a link if you need one.

Parents / Carers are only charged for the time they use the club and we believe our charging policy to be as flexible and accommodating as it can possibly be. However we do have to be strict in enforcing our policy which is:

“No account can be more than 2 weeks in arrears unless other arrangements, such as salary sacrifice, monthly, termly or quarterly payments etc… have been made and agreed with Mrs Burtenshaw (After School Club Manager) if your account is more than two weeks in arrears your child will not be allowed to attend After School Club.”

Policies and Procedures

Most of our policies and procedures are in line with the schools. Parents/carers can see the policies at any time, please see the club manager for access, and for any further information or explanation regarding our policies and procedures.

In case of a minor accident, basic First Aid will be administered by a qualified first aider.

In case of an accident requiring more than basic First Aid we will contact you to advise or discuss the course of action to be taken. If necessary the child will be accompanied to hospital by a qualified first aider.

EMERGENCY MEDICATION

If your child has emergency medication in school, for example inhalers, epi - pens  etc.,  may we ask that you please arrange for After School Club to have one to be kept in our First Aid box.

Safeguarding Children

All members of After School Club Staff have full DBS checks and are qualified to work with children. Parents/carers must give written consent for all people who may collect their child/children from After School Club via the registration form.

It is club procedure to telephone parents/carers if someone other than stated on the registration form arrives to collect a child.

Behaviour Policy

We operate the same behaviour policy within After School Club as during the school day.  We are very pleased to say that on the whole all the children are very well behaved but on occasions children may have to be removed or excluded from a particular activity due to poor behaviour. If this happens please rest assured that, where necessary, we will keep you fully informed.

We are a fully inclusive club open to all children who attend St Edward's C of E Primary School. We operate after school , during term time from 3:15pm till 5:45pm.

If you wish your child to attend After School Club you need to complete a registration form, available from the school office or download from the link below. We aim to be as flexible and accommodating as possible and consequently only require a days notice of a child's attendance. As we are aware that circumstances can change and emergencies arise, children who are registered may use the club without prior notice as long as the school is informed.

For children collected before 4.30pm the daily charge is £4.50, siblings £3.75. Children collected after 4.30pm the charge is £7.00, siblings £6.00. Payment can be made daily, weekly or fortnightly. You may also pay monthly or per term in advance. For information regarding salary sacrifice childcare vouchers, please see the club manager.

At After School Club children are given a range of healthy snacks including fresh and dried fruit, vegetable crudities and sweet corn cups. We actively promote the healthy schools ethos and are keen to develop the children's awareness of foods as well as being delicious.
