St Eddie's Library

At St Edward’s, reading is at the heart of everything we do. Our love of books flows beyond the walls of the library, spilling into corridors and classrooms so that every corner of the school is alive with words, stories, and curiosity.

Our student librarians and some enthusiastic Year 6 children, help bring this culture to life each day. Together, they use library books to share jokes, fascinating facts, and “words of the day,” sparking conversations and smiles from children in the corridors.

Reading at St Edward’s is not just an activity — it is a shared experience, a daily joy, and a vital part of who we are.

Our Key Stage Two library is used to host reading events such as 'Read with Eddie' (one of our school dogs), Taste A Book Tuesday and Reading Cafes attended by parents and their children.
