School Uniform

It is our school policy that all children wear school uniform when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. We provide a complete list of the items needed for school uniform in our school prospectus.

The School Uniform Policy has been fully agreed by the Governing body. Following the Policy is an essential part of being a pupil of St Edward's C of E Primary School

Our uniform consists of the following:-

Uniform PE Kit
Yellow Polo T-shirt
Grey Trousers/skirts
Blue Sweatshirt/Cardigan/ Fleece
Blue or yellow and white Check Dress
Black School Shoes

Indoor PE kit

Black/navy Shorts; Light Blue/white T-Shirt
Black Pumps

Outdoor PE kit
Plain Tracksuit Pants and/or PlainSweatshirt/Plain T-Shirt
Plain Trainers

Jewellery

For health and safety reasons, we do not allow any jewellery to be worn, including studs so if you are having your child’s ears pierced over the summer holiday, please have them done at the beginning of the holiday to give them chance to heal.

Hair

Please do not have any extreme, very short haircuts with lines or patterns in them and only plain coloured headbands and bobbles should be worn. Children are not allowed to wear fancy headbands, ribbons, clips or large bows (like Jo Jo bows). Long hair should be tied back.

Nail Varnish and Make-up

We do not allow the wearing of nail varnish or make-up in school.

Imitation glasses are also not permitted in school.

Mobile phones

If you feel your child needs to bring a mobile phone to school, it must be handed to the school office until the end of the school day.
